2001
Brea Elementary School was on Laurel Street. It gave me a sound
footing for my education. I don't have a lot of memories of it, but
they are ones of fondness.
One standout memory was Kindergarten and Miss Kleinberg, a sweet young
thing, probably new to the profession. She'd provided a playhouse in
her classroom that had half-walls, so all the children were visible,
but so that you could get the feel of the floorplan. A kitchen, a
bedroom, a living room. Not Barbie's Palace, but I certainly was
impressed with it. I spent a lot of time in there playing house,
where simple lessons were taught about making a house a home, of
sharing, of being kind to others, of working together.
Now fast forward to today.
I'm listening to Moldy Oldies on the radio. The newscaster breaks
through my thoughts and announces that Brea Elementary School has just
slaughtered a cow. Now why would that make the news? It got my
attention right off.
It seems that, to teach the children about raising animals, they let a
cow live on campus from it's early stages as a newborn calf. Imagine
an impressionable school full of young children feeding and nurturing
this critter through two years of life lessons. Now, it is time to
teach the children where meat comes from. The Principal calls in a
professional butcher and they slaughter the cow right before the
children's eyes (including the five year old Kindergartners) skinning
it, and cutting it up into steaks, roasts and hamburger!
I'm sure that later on when they lay on the analysts couch they will
spew forth many long repressed, fearful ideas of what can happen when
you nurture pets. And I am mindful that if they lived in the Midwest
on a farm, they would be familiar with this process, probably by
degrees, as their parent saw fit to teach them real life examples.
However, these children are city kids and their parents were not
notified of the slaughterhouse project.
Later, in the afternoon mail, I received my La Jolla High School
Alumni quarterly newsletter. I browse through it, scanning the pages
for names of students I might remember from way back when. It
ususually listed who visited the campus recently, who contributed to
the scholarship fund, whose children and grandchildren are attending
there now, and a short obituary of who passed on.
Then I'm caught up in a page of ongoing activities for the 2001
students. As I read down the page, I am jolted nearly out of my
chair.
Listed are school clubs. In my day there was the Helmsmen and the
Mariners and the Glee Club and Band, the Drama Club and JI - M (Jesus
is mine) Club.
Now the list goes on and on, covering fully half a page. Every
possible interest any kid could have, including foreign travel.
Nestled innocuously in the list is the club for Gay, Lesbian, Straight
and Trans-Gender students!
I had recently heard on the news that many high schools were having
Gay Proms so as not to hurt the feelings of minority groups. One
school suspended Mother's Day so as not to hurt the tender feelings of
children raised by homosexual unions of two men or two women (never
mind the feelings of mothers and children from intact nuclear
families).
Would my old revered high school be the next to promote gay and
transsexual proms?
I felt betrayed by both my Alma Mater's.
What five year old needs to watch a man grind up a cow! What teenager
needs to have sexual deviation clubs promoted as a normal, healthy
lifestyle choice when AIDS, HIV and STD's are such a worldwide threat?
I looked further down the list of clubs, but as I suspected, Bible
clubs were not included. Did they have a club promoting family
values as taught in our country based upon Judeo-Christian law? No.
Of course not, because that is not politically correct nowadays.
As much as the Media pounces on people of faith for their views
excluding the liberal left, guess who is non-inclusive now? It's the
so-called progressives.
Secular Humanists have an agenda to be the new religion of the world.
Total Ecumenism. They've just never called it religion because then
they would have to abide by the Constitution separating church and
state just as they insist Christians, Catholic and Jews do regarding
any religious events on government property. Then they could not
corrupt every youth who attends government run schools.
Inclusionists? Far from it. Theirs is a religion without God as it's
center. Instead they have chosen Man as it's center. They believe
that man is the only God to be worshiped and they exclude people of
faith.
We may one day have one world government, however, one world religion
will be watered down to no belief in anything. Secular Humanism.
That is not acceptable.
I am so angry at these schools, because of their secular humanist
positions. I want to continue to be proud of them because they had
so much to do with my education in the past. However, they are
thoroughly corrupt now and it is just one more sign of the End Times
mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
In a less politically correct era the rules were different.
TEACHER RULES
(from the 1890s)
1. Teachers each day will fill lamps, clean chimneys and trim wicks.
2. Each teacher will bring a bucket of water and scuttle of coal for
the day's sessions.
3. Make your pens carefully: you may whittle nibs to the individual
taste of pupils.
4. Men teachers may take one evening each week for courting purposes,
or two evenings a week if they go to church regularly.
5. After 10 hours in school, the teachers spend the remaining time
reading the Bible or other good books.
6. Women teachers who marry or engage in unseemly conduct will be
dismissed.
7. Each teacher should lay aside from each pay a goodly sum of his
earnings for his benefit during his declining years so that he will
not become a burden on society.
8. Any teacher who smokes, uses liquor in any form frequents pool or
public halls, or get shaved in a barber shop will give good reason to
suspect his worth, intentions, integrity and honesty.
9. The teacher who performs his labors faithfully and without fault
for five years will be given an increase of 25 cents per week in his
pay, providing the Board of Education approves.
However, under the old regime, back in our beginnings, the children
were tested for knowledge and were mentally equivalent at the end of
high school to a four year college education by today's standards.
I am not advocating going back to antiquated rules and regulations,
however a Socialist government agenda, (a dumbing down, leveling of
the playing field) a biased, liberal News Media, Ssecular Humanists in
the Universities where school teachers are taught their non-values,
Hollywood propaganda and organized Unions have corrupted the very core
of our educational system.
When people don't stand for something, they will fall for anything.

shot.....We will BURY YOU!"
